Since I’ve now been getting more and more into neutrals , especially matte shades I recently picked up the NYX I Dream of St Kitt’s Palette , a 5 eyeshadow set from their Caribbean Collection. It’s really not like to continually use the same colour combinations and techniques for weeks at a time , but I think I;ve found one of the few palettes , alongside the Stila in the Light Palette that I’d happily use for the rest of my life and still be happy!
What I love about this palette is not only how easy they are to blend , but the mixture of colours and tones that work perfectly together. The palette contains 2 mattes which I’d class as make up essentials – a matte white and medium toned brown that blends beautifully. The other three shades are shimmery shades that feel buttery in texture and and I particulary love the middle shimmery eyeshadow in the palette that gives this neutral palette a warm toned twist.
In the photos above I’ve used all the colours with a base of the NYX Jumbo Eye Penicl in Milk with the two darker shades blended on the lid and a mixture of the lightest shades blended for a gradiant effect on the lids.
I’ve also fallen in love with how creamy the Nyx Round Lipsticks are , courtesy of the brilliant buy one get one free deal they have on their website for Round Lipsticks at the moment. The shade photographed above is Thalia , a my lips but better shade with a purple berry toned twist. They have great staying power and I’m excited to share my growing collection in the coming weeks!
